Transformation of the Day: Nashawn lost 55 pounds by changing her lifestyle. This busy entrepreneur wants to be a healthy example for her son and daughter, so she put in the work at the table and in the gym.
Hi! My name is Nashawn. As a nurse, I’m aware that being overweight is not healthy. My doctor for years suggested weight loss surgery, and I repeatedly said no. Then, some things took place in my life where weight loss was no longer an option but a necessity.
I also noticed my daughter had started to pick up a little weight. Looking at my daughter, I realized I’m her example of what a woman should be. But am I setting a good example for her? Thinking of her and wanting to make her and my son proud sparked something inside me. I wanted my kids to see me go after what I wanted in life, fearlessly and without hesitation.
So the things I had been putting off, I just did them! I wanted to start a business, so I put in the work and I did it—# AmazingAssistance. I wanted to lose weight, so I hit the gym every day, meal prepped, and did it.
I’m down 55+lbs, and I still have a ways to go, but my kids are my “Why.” They are why I do everything, and the goal is to grow old with them and make them proud. #WorkInProgress #JustDoIt. #WhatsYourWhy?
